How do I find the cheapest fuel near me in NSW?
Open Servo and allow location (or search a suburb/postcode). It maps every station near you with live prices and glows the cheapest one for your chosen fuel — E10, U91, 95, 98, diesel and more. Sort by price, distance or freshness, or plan the cheapest fuel along your whole drive with the Route tab.
Is Servo free?
Yes — Servo is completely free, with no account required. You can install it to your home screen (it's a Progressive Web App) and use it like a native app.
Where do the fuel prices come from?
Prices come from the official NSW Government FuelCheck data — the same mandatory price reports every NSW service station must submit. That data is published under a Creative Commons (CC BY) licence, so we can show it to you on a faster, cleaner map.
How accurate are the prices? Why is the pump sometimes different?
The prices are exactly what retailers have reported to NSW FuelCheck — they're required to update within about 30 minutes of a change, so a price can occasionally lag the sign at the pump. We show how long ago each price was updated so you can judge its freshness, and drivers can confirm or dispute a price in-app to flag stale ones. No fuel app can be more current than the official feed it reads.
Which fuels are covered?
All the grades in the NSW feed: E10, Unleaded 91, Premium 95, Premium 98, E85, diesel, premium diesel, B20, LPG, and AdBlue availability. You can select one or several and see each station priced by the cheapest of your chosen fuels.
Does it cover all of NSW or just Sydney?
All of NSW. You can search any NSW suburb or postcode, and the statewide leaderboard shows the cheapest stations across the whole state as well as within a chosen suburb.
What is the NSW petrol price cycle?
NSW petrol prices tend to move in cycles — rising sharply, then drifting down over days or weeks before the next hike. Filling up near the bottom of the cycle can save meaningfully. The Trends tab charts recent prices so you can see where the cycle is and decide whether to fill up now or wait. (Cycles have been less regular since the 2026 oil-price shock, so treat it as a guide, not a guarantee.)
How do price alerts work?
Set an alert for a suburb or a specific station and a target price, and you'll be notified when the cheapest price there drops to or below it. Alerts only notify you about a genuinely new low — never the same standing price over and over.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. Open Servo in your phone's browser and choose "Add to Home Screen" (iPhone) or "Install app" (Android). It then opens full-screen like a normal app, works offline for your last-viewed area, and can send price alerts.
Is my data private?
There's no sign-up and we don't ask for your name or email to use the app. Your location is used only in your browser to centre the map and is never stored. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare) to see which pages get used — no cookies, no personal identifiers, and no cross-site tracking. The only personal detail we keep is optional feedback you choose to send.
